Kerala Samajam Bangalore South West, formed in 2006 is a socio cultural organization delivering to the social and cultural needs of the Malayalee community, residing in areas in and around Kengeri, mainly from Nagarbhavi to Kumbalkode on Bangalore-Mysore Road Being one of the noted socio cultural organizations in Bangalore, the Samajam plays a major role in bringing together the Malayalee community during festive occasions like, Onam, Christmas/New Year and so forth It brings the community closer also by organizing literary, cultural, arts & sporZts programs on these members in the above areas Samajam strives to harness the community with the rich Kerala cultural heritage and tradition.
As part of the social services, the Samajam has organized Malayalam classes for our children on summer vacations The other social activity conducted by the Samajam includes Blood donation camp, Ayurveda medical camp and eye camp- all free of cost We have distributed sports goods and scholerships to poor students of Bhanu School We have also contributed funds to the Karnataka Flood Relief Fund of the Chief Minister in 2009
